1 One device, several sensors
The MultiProtector has three temperature inputs, with the help of which the device can analyze the stator temperature relevant for dry running and that of the motor. In addition, there is an input for pressure sensors and two interfaces for conductive measurements for leakage monitoring. The existing connection to the engine also allows you to monitor the motor frequency and voltage. The third temperature input is freely selectable. Here, you can measure the temperature of the medium, for example. However, the sensor can also be attached to the gearbox or another component. In addition to increased user-friendliness, you save space and time by combining eight sensors on one device.
2 Easy mounting and commissioning of the MultiProtector
The MultiProtector can be mounted on a top-hat rail in the control cabinet. Since only one device is required for up to eight sensors, you can install and commission the monitoring and protection unit quickly. All sensors can be set via the app and thus not need to be evaluated via many separate devices.
3 Increased operational safety for your pump
The pump protection module has two relay outputs that can be freely parameterized. Since they are simple and unambiguous signals, you can easily incorporate them into circuits and evaluate them with controllers. A PLC or logic unit in the control cabinet is not necessary. Both relays can be switched on. Either for a switch-off device that triggers a shutdown of the pump and frequency converters or LEDs to reproduce an optical signal. Due to the two outputs, you can define both a warning and an alarming level and are thus alerted to a critical condition at an early stage.
4 Extended service life of your pump
The elastomer of the stator is temperature-sensitive. Even a dry run of a few minutes is critical and can lead to permanent damage. With the MultiProtector, you diagnose the temperature, prevent overheating and ensure the proper functioning of your pump. In addition to the elastomers, the motors are also designed for specific temperature ranges. The limit for the interior of the engine is usually between 60 and 80 °C. Higher values damage the motor, the protection unit warns you in good time of overheating and thus prophylactically counteracts possible damage. The same applies to the hydraulic pressure in the unit, which is monitored by pressure sensors. Pumps are designed to withstand the forces and torques acting in the pump chamber up to a certain point. If the threshold is exceeded, damage to the drive train can occur. As with dry running and motor overheating, it is to be expected that the pump will no longer function properly after this overload, components will have to be replaced, or the pump will stop working altogether. You can prevent all these factors by monitoring with the MultiProtector. As long as your end device is connected to the MultiProtector, the data is displayed in real-time.
5 Simple parameterization via app
The parameters are set using a mobile end device and an associated app. The pump protection module has a digital interface to connect your mobile end devices such as smartphones, tablets, or laptops to parameterize the MultiProtector via the app and readout errors. For example, you can define the threshold values for the sensor signals in the app or set a warning at 50 °C and an alarm at 60 °C for a temperature sensor.
6 Simple analyze of diagnostic data
Faults can be read out via the app, the fault history can be exported as a PDF, and live diagnostics can be performed. The number of starts and operating hours is also saved to read off the load on your pump and thus the maintenance requirement. Particularly stressed components can then be inspected more closely as part of maintenance. With a click in the MultiProtector app, you can also create a PDF report with error history, statistics and setting parameters. You can use this for documentation and troubleshooting. If an error occurs that leads to a shutdown, the reports can trace which processes led to the shutdown. In this way, you can narrow down the troubleshooting process.
7 Optimal condition monitoring of your pump
Many evaluation devices only allow a single level, an alarm value set in such a way that a targeted shutdown of the unit occurs immediately. The MultiProtector also displays this signal, which indicates a glaring error. However, with the second signal, a level can be output that indicates orange, similar to a traffic light. For example, you can attach a glow to your control cabinet that makes it visually clear that the threshold for the warning value has been exceeded. This allows you to check before the alarm value is reached and the pump is automatically switched off. In addition, the unit also allows live diagnosis. This is particularly worthwhile, for example, if there is an error case with shutdown and the same error occurs again when the pump is operated automatically again. You can connect the mobile device with the app to the pump protection module and use the sensor inputs for diagnosis. In this way, the temporal course of the signals can be observed live, and the value that leads directly to shutdown when the pump is restarted can be identified. You can also carry out more comprehensive monitoring, for which the mobile device is permanently connected for a certain period.
